Hello Fellow Journalers!🖊️📖

Autumn is a beautiful season that brings nature's changing colors with a cozy atmosphere. Let's ooh and ahh over some fall journal aesthetic! I'm here to do the brainstorming for you.

Monthly Pages

Dedicate entire pages to the Fall months. Which calendar do you adhere to? Meteorological calendar has Fall starting on September 1st. Astronomical calendar lands on the Autumn Equinox. This is usually between September 21st and September 24th. Regardless of which calendar you follow, fall deserves its own journal pages.

Use Nature

Collect your favorite color-turning leaves (or other flora) before they fall. Press and dry them between the pages of books using tissue paper and artfully arranged on your journal pages. If you find leaves that have already fallen, try to pick ones that haven't fully dried and are able to be pressed and easier to work with and arrange on paper.

Dedicate a Page or Entire Journal to the Season

Look at these lovely pictures of Autumn and Fall Dedicated Spaces. Use calligraphy, stamps, stickers or printed words for typography. Warm color schemes reign supreme. Mix-up your media or keep it simple.

Lean into the Aesthetic

What's your favorite bit about fall? Is it the pumpkins? Spooky nights and spooky creatures? Make a list and find ways to incorporate on page edges, page breaks, and the start of new sections. Perhaps use stickers or fall-themed colored tape to attach memorabilia that supports the autumn scheme.

Make a Mood Tracker

Mood trackers can be so helpful. I have a whole post dedicated to trigger tracking and its uses. If you're artistically inclined, take you're favorite fall theme to create a tracker. Are you a bat lover? Have a page or page spread of 30-31 bats, with your unique legend of color coding.

Here's a cheat: when creating your mood tracker, here's the amount of days for the fall months.

September – 30 days
October – 31 days
November – 30 days

I created a Pumpkin Mood Tracker, with the first sheet for 30 days and second sheet 31 days. This is a special something for Why We Journal members. Great news, being a member is free!
